The pressure of show business has finally taken its toll on Jay-R Siaboc, the 1st runner-up of the reality-based talent search Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA).
Jay-R just broke up with girlfriend Iya Ginez, another ex-PDA scholar. But the Cebuano singer said it was a mutual decision.
"Ako ang nag-bring up. Tanggap niya naman 'yun," said Jay-R when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) interviewed him yesterday, January 15, at the press conference for PDA's Final 6's concert series in the USA.
Ngayong nandito na 'to, ayoko namang palampasin.
Though heartbroken, Jay-R is very excited with the group's US tour, which will also include Grand Dreamer Yeng Constantino, Ronnie Liang, Panky Trinidad, Irish Fullerton, and Chad Peralta.
Before the grand finals of PDA, PEP had a chance to talk to Jay-R. He said then that he bought a surplus TV set for his family because they never owned one before. Yesterday, Jay-R excitedly talked about the "big" brand new TV he just bought for them.
"Basta malaki siya!" Jay-R smiled when asked if it was a Plasma TV or a HDTV (High-definition TV).
As for his grand prize of half a million pesos, Jay-R has finally deposited the check in the bank.
In-enjoy ko muna," Jay-R said with a hearty laugh.
