NIMFA

In the 1994 movie Sa Isang Sulok ng mga Pangarap, ALICE DIXSON (left) portrayed the ugly street vendor Nimfa who had been a victim of mockery and abuse.

When GMA-7 decided to remake the movie for a TV series via the primetime show Impostora, IZA CALZADO (middle) was tapped to play the deformed girl who is now named as Sara. She is the twin sister of Lara (also played by Iza) who was separated from her after the death of their parents.

For the 2017 version, KRIS BERNAL was chosen to do the role of NIMFA. She will accidentally commit a crime that will change her life.

ROSETTE

In the original movie version, Rosette is played by ALICE DIXSON. Rosette used Nimfa so she could escape her life with husband Homer (Ariel Rivera) and live with her lover Errol (Ton-ton Gutierrez).

In Impostora's 2007 version, SUNSHINE DIZON (middle) played Vanessa, a spoiled brat rich woman who used Sara to leave her husband Nicholas (Mark Anthony Fernandez) and fly to the States with her lover Leandro (Luis Alandy).

Ten years after the first TV adaptation, KRIS BERNAL will also portray the role of Rosette. This will be the first time that Kris will play a bad girl role.

HOMER

ARIEL RIVERA (left) played Homer in the 1994 movie version. He is the rich husband of Rosette who was caught in a web of lies and deception by his wife, Rosette.

In the TV series, MARK ANTHONY FERNANDEZ (middle) was tapped to play this character but he was renamed as Nicholas. He is a rich businessman who was enraged when he discovered that his wife Vanessa stole his fortune and left with another man.

This 2017, RAFAEL ROSELL will take on the role of Homer. As Nimfa continues to pretend to be Rosette, Homer slowly falls in love with the woman he thought is his wife.

JEREMY

In the 1994 version, TONTON GUTIERREZ played the role of Errol, Rosette's lover who conceived the plot of deceiving Homer. He bumped into Nimfa and pretended to be her friend. When he found out that policemen were looking for Nimfa, he suggested that she undergo plastic surgery courtesy of his friend who is a surgeon.

Meanwhile, in Impostora 2007, LUIS ALANDY played Dr. Leandro Meneses, a plastic surgeon who used the ugly Sara for his schemes. He changed her face to Vanessa's and sent her to pretend as the pretty lady.

The 2017 version mixes the events and roles in the movie and the first TV version, thus, the character of JEREMY was born, to be played by RYAN EIGENMANN. The plastic surgeon gives Nimfa an offer too good to refuse: to become a pretty woman and leave her ugly face and life behind.

TRINA

In the three Impostora incarnations, the leading man has a friend or a family member who will be the first to find out that Nimfa is pretending to be Rosette.

In Sa Isang Sulok ng mga Pangarap, MONIQUE WILSON played the role of Jinnet, Homer's best friend who has feelings for him. When she realized that Rosette has changed, she investigated and found out that Rosette is an impostor.

Meanwhile, in the 2007 version, CHANDA ROMERO played Anatella, the mother of Nicholas who found out that the Vanessa living inside their house is Sara. Instead of sending her out of the house, she kept it as a secret and allowed Sara to pretend as Vanessa. This was when Anatella witnessed first-hand how she loved Vanessa and Nicholas's children.

In the new version, Homer now has a sister named TRINA, and will be played by ASSUNTA DE ROSSI. Based on the teaser, she will sense that Nimfa is not the real Rosette.

CRISEL

Crisel is the reason why Nimfa's life changed. She has always ridiculed Nimfa in front of other people and told her that she will never be loved. Because of this, Nimfa lost her temper and slammed Crisel's face on a red-hot grill.

Scared to go to jail, Nimfa escaped and from there, she met the man who changed her face and her life.

In the 2017 version, VANESS DEL MORAL will take on the role of Crisel, previously portrayed by TERESA LOYZAGA in the 1994 movie.

Meanwhile, in Impostora 2007, a Crisel character did not exist. Instead, Sara had a problem with a gangster and used the opportunity of undergoing plastic surgery to hide.

DENANG

The protagonist of Impostora also had a mother or sister figure by her side.

In the 1994 movie, Nimfa had a friend named Ate Mayette who encouraged her to dream high. In Impostora 2007, Sara had an adoptive mother named Dorina. Both characters were played by DEXTER DORIA.

This time, Nimfa has an adoptive mother who will love her unconditionally. The character named DENANG will be played by ELIZABETH OROPESA.

Impostora 2017 marks Elizabeth's return to doing GMA teleseryes. Her last Kapuso soap opera was the 2010 series Beauty Queen.

ERIC

Before meeting Homer, Nimfa fell in love with a good-looking man named ERIC. However, this also became the reason why she became the subject of ridicule, especially by Crisel.

In Sa Isang Sulok ng mga Pangarap, Eric's short appearance was portrayed by TITUS MANALO. Meanwhile, a longer story about Eric and Nimfa's love story will be depicted in Impostora 2017, with JAMES BLANCO portraying the role.

In Impostora 2007, Sara did not have a crush on any other man except for Leandro after seeing his kind gestures for her. Little did she know that it was just part of his scheme.

CELINE

Homer and Rosette had a child named Celine, who harbored ill feelings towards her mother. In the movie, she was played by a young CHARINA SCOTT.

In 2007, Vanessa and Nicholas had a child named Kathleen who was portrayed by ELLA GUEVARRA.

In Impostora 2017, Celine will be played by DAYARA SHANE, a pre-teen girl who will become rebellious towards her parents.

DEEDEE

Nimfa also had friends whom she could rely on. One of them is Sabel, portrayed by Malou de Guzman. Sabel would always defend Nimfa from those who mocked her.

In Impostora 2017, Sabel's name will be changed into Deedee and she will be portrayed by AICELLE SANTOS.

JUNIC

In Sa Isang Sulok ng mga Pangarap, Nimfa and Homer only had one daughter.

However, in Impostora, Vanessa and Nicholas had a younger son named Patrick who was portrayed by JACOB RICA.

In Impostora 2017, his character was retained but his named was changed to JUNIC. He is now played by YUAN "PAOPAO" FRANCISCO.

New characters who were not seen in both 1994 and 2007 versions were added to this upcoming Kapuso afternoon series.

First is OMAR, Crisel's policeman brother who will find Nimfa to make her pay for the crime that she committed. He will be played by LEANDRO BALDEMOR.

Nimfa also has another gay friend named MAXI who will be portrayed by SINON LORESCA.
