It's official! PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) blogger Ruffa Gutierrez will be replacing Kris Aquino in ABS-CBN's entertainment talk show The Buzz.
Ruffa calls PEP to announce the big news. She says her hosting stint last Sunday, March 18, got "good reviews."
Earlier reports said that Ruffa Gutierrez, Gretchen Barretto, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and Rosanna Roces were the choices for the job. Another report said that each would be given the chance to host in alternating episodes.
In the end, ABS-CBN management, Ruffa says, decided to give her the job. She will be co-hosting the show with Boy Abunda and Cristy Fermin until April 8.
On March 4, Kris announced that she would go on a showbiz hiatus for the next two months, or at least until she gives birth to Baby James—her son with husband James Yap.
Kris has said in the past that the emotional stress from the controversy surrounding her marriage to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) cager—who was reportedly involved with another woman, a beauty clinic receptionist named Hope Centeno—has endangered her health and pregnancy.
