Former TV5 actor Akihiro Blanco felt sad when he had to back out from two shows of ABS-CBN: La Luna Sangre and The Good Son.
Akihiro already started taping for these Kapamilya prime-time shows but he had to leave in order to prioritize shooting four films.
One of these films is the Regal Films movie This Time I'll Be Sweeter starring Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan.
Akihiro admitted to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Ako, nalungkot din ako kasi siyempre ABS na yun, e. La Luna and Good Son, so malaking exposure din po kasi yun.
"Kaso sa akin po, may mga priorities din po ako na kailangan i-ano tulad dito sa Regal, naka-contract po kasi ako dito so talagang delikado.
"Naka-contract ako for films so delikado 'pag di ko sinipot yung movie na shinoot namin. E, nagkasabay-sabay po kaya hindi ko na na-continue yung La Luna at saka sa Good Son."
Aside from This Time I'll Be Sweeter, Akihiro is also part of the upcoming films titled Immaculada, Timog Love Story, and Sikreto sa Dilim.
Now that he's already shooting these films, the Artista Academy top six finalist wishes to return to television.
"Siguro ta-try ko naman po mag-TV kung sakaling matapos na yung four movies na yun."
If he could choose, which TV network would he want to work for in the future?
He answered with a smile, "Whichever. Pero sa ngayon, ang dream network ko, 7. Kasi nakatrabaho ko pa lang sila, e!"
Akihiro was referring to his co-stars in the film—Barbie Forteza, Ken Chan, Kim Rodriguez, and Hiro Peralta—who are all talents of GMA-7.
However, he clarified that he is also happy if he will be given another show in ABS-CBN.
"Why not, kahit ano basta may work, blessing naman po 'yan."
Akihiro started his career with TV5 as part of Artista Academy's Top Six.
To date, his biggest role in television was playing the villain in TV5's remake of Baker King (2015).
