JM de Guzman will be seen in an ABS-CBN teleserye soon.
The comebacking actor will top-bill the upcoming drama series Precious Hearts Romances presents Araw Gabi.
This was announced by RSB Drama Unit, the entertainment unit of ABS-CBN helming the production of the show.
RSB stands for Ruel Santos Bayani, the drama group's business unit head.
JM met with the show's three directors: (L-R) Myla Ajero-Gaite, Theodore Boborol, and Don Cuaresma.
Coincidentally, it was Boborol who directed JM's first solo series, Angelito: Batang Ama in 2011.
JM posted the same photo in his Instagram account and tagged the three directors with the caption, "lalang."
The official account of the series also uploaded a video of JM promoting his TV comeback.
He said in the Instavid, "Mga Kapamilya, ako po si JM de Guzman. Abangan po ang aking pagbabalik teleserye under RSB Drama Unit, Precious Hearts Romances presents Araw Gabi, malapit na."
Araw Gabi serves as JM's comeback to doing teleseryes after three years.
His last show was the afternoon series All Of Me (2015).
In his January 21 interview with Rated K, the actor admitted that he was dropped out of the cast of All Of Me after eight weeks of airing. He then decided to enter rehab.
Prior to this, JM was removed from his 2012 show, Angelito: Bagong Yugto, because of his drug addiction.
In October 2017, JM disclosed that he has been "substance-free" for two years.
Araw Gabi also marks the return of Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) to television after an absence of almost five years.
The titles under PHR are romance pocketbook novels produced by Precious Pages which were all serialized for television.
The last PHR to be aired on ABS-CBN was Paraiso, starring Jessy Mendiola and Matteo Guidicelli. It aired from November 2012 to April 2013.
Back then, PHR used to be under the unit of Lauren Dyogi, who is now the TV Production head of ABS-CBN.
There has been no announcement yet regarding JM's leading lady and the airing date of the show.
In the past, JM already played supporting roles in various installments of Precious Hearts Romances.
In fact, his first teleserye appearance was in the 2010 PHR series Midnight Phantom starring Denise Laurel and Rafael Rosell.
JM also played supporting roles in PHR: Alyna (2010) and PHR: Kristine (2010-2011).
