"Medyo nakakakaba. I hope you forgive me for the first few episodes. Medyo nanginginig yung tuhod at may sabit-sabit sa dila," said Ryan Agoncillo, the host of GMA-7's new game show called Picture! Picture!

Even with 15 years of hosting experience under his belt, Ryan Agoncillo admitted that he’s still learning the ropes when it comes to his first game show, Picture! Picture!

But with the support of the show’s production staff, the 34-year-old host/actor is confident that he'll get the hang of it soon.

“Medyo nakakakaba. I hope you forgive me for the first few episodes. Medyo nanginginig yung tuhod ko at may sabit-sabit sa dila.

“Siyempre, as to all things new, merong adjustment. I’m happy that the team I’m part of is really a team that has gotten down to a science.

“Kumbaga, kung may mangangapa, sabay-sabay kaming mangangapa. Direk Rico Gutierrez has really worked hard.

“There are technical glitches here and there, pero siyempre lahat naman ng bagong show may ganyan,” he said during a press conference last November 19.

Although he experienced hosting game segments in the daily noontime variety show, Eat Bulaga, Ryan admitted that it’s more nerve-racking to be hosting solo.

Ang Eat Bulaga kasi game show yun actually. Pero meron kang Dabarkads [referring to Eat Bulaga co-hosts], meron kang backup. Meron ka masasandalan na co-hosts.

“Eto solo, magkamali ka, dali. But at the same time, dun rin ako nae-excite.

"The fact that this is the first game show na gagawin ko. Tapos may trivia, picture-driven pa.

“Nagtrabaho kasi ako dati bilang professional photographer, kaya dun ako na-engganyo.

In addition, Ryan is proud of the fact that Picture! Picture! is not a franchise show.

“What we're doing is very original. If you experience making food from scratch without any recipes, merong tikim, merong testing, nandun tayo sa phase na yun.

“I personally asked Lloyd [Navera, GMA Network executive producer] last week halfway through our taping, ‘Is this what you had in mind?' Kasi siya ang nagkonsepto. He was very happy and sabay-sabay naming bubuuin ito,” Ryan explained.

An original concept of GMA Network, Picture! Picture! is a visual-driven game show wherein four celebrity contestants will play as a team and take their chance to win as much as P500,000 by correctly answering picture-aided-questions within 30 seconds.

Although the game gets tougher after each round, contestants are given two options to help the team win the game. First is the “Twin Pics,” wherein the team is allowed to choose two answers out of three choices. Then there’s the “Save Pic,” which automatically saves a player upon giving a wrong answer. The said options, however, can only be used once during the game.

For now, Picture! Picture! will be featuring celebrity contestants. But Ryan hopes that the players will not be limited to artists from the Kapuso network alone.

“I hope it becomes a melting pot of different kinds of artists. Sana may basketball players at rock stars. Sana hindi lang limited sa mga artista at TV networks.

“Kasi ganon ako, e. I’m a Dabarkads. I’m a Kapuso. I used to be a Kapatid. I used to be a Kapamilya. But now I’m a Kapuso. Sana may ibang tao tayong mai-guest.”
