Spiral pole dancer Kristel de Catalina was named the winner of Pilipinas Got Talent 2016.

The grand finals of the talent competition's 6th edition was held at the Bren Z Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga on Sunday night, April 29.

The show's judges Angel Locsin, Vice Ganda, Robin Padilla, and ABS-CBN's newest Chairman Mark Lopez announced Kristel as the grand winner of the Kapamilya talent competition. The 2018 edition of PGT was hosted by Billy Crawford and Toni Gonzaga.

Kristel won P2 million pesos as the grand winner of this year's PGT.

The Antipolo-based single mom received a total score of 99.67%, based on judges scores and audience votes.

Overwhelmed by her big win, Kristel uttered a few words to express her gratitude to all those who supported her during the whole journey.

She simply said, "Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat."

In an interview after the show with Kalad Karen Davila for PGT Exclusives, Kristel said she's even more inspired now that she knows a lot of people support and appreciate her talent.

The PGT Season 6 grand winner admitted that this is also the most challenging competition she has ever joined.

But Kristel took this challenge to learn more about her self and her abilities.

Before the announcement of winners, OPM hitmakers Ogie Alcasid and Gary Valenciano performed a medley of Sampaguita's songs including "Sayawan" and "Bonggahan."
