British pop sensation Dua Lipa made her way back to the Philippines!
The 23-year-old singer staged her first-ever solo concert—produced by MMI Live and Live Nation—in Manila on Friday night, September 14, at SM Mall of Asia Arena, amidst the raging storm Ompong.
This is Dua Lipa's third visit to the Philippines. In May 2017, Dua Lipa went to the country for a special meet and greet session with some lucky fans. The London-born Kosovar-Albanian singer returned in August for the In The Mix music festival that was also held at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
PEPSPOTTED
Filipino celebrities were among the thousands of fans who partied at her sold-out concert in Manila.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) went celebrity spotting at the concert.
Some of the stars we spotted including ABS-CBN talents Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Enchong Dee, Kim Chiu, and Hashtag Kid.
Enrique, Liza and Janella Salvador had the chance to personally meet Dua Lipa backstage.
GMA-7 actress Lovi Poe was accompanied by host Tim Yap at the concert. Other Kapuso stars spotted at the venue include Cassy and Mavy Legaspi, Janine Gutierrez, Heart Evangelista, and Andrea Torres.
Celebrities Juliana Gomez and BJ Pascual were also present that night.
CONCERT HIGHLIGHTS
The concert lasted for over two hours. Dua Lipa performed a total of 19 songs during her concert.
The British singer kicked off the party with her performance of "Blow Your Mind" followed by a medley of "Dreams" and "No Lie."
Blue and magenta-colored lights filled the MOA Arena as Dua Lipa rocked the stage with her energetic performances.
She continued the concert with performances of the songs "Lost In Your Light" and "High."
Dua Lipa toned down the party with her performances of "Garden," "Last Dance," and "Be The One."
At one point of the show, Dua Lipa thanked her Filipino fans for their overwhelming support.
She told the crowd, "Thank you all so much for making my dreams come true."
The concert resumed with her performances of "Thinkin' Bout You," "New Love," and "Genesis."
Fans sang along as she performed the songs "One Kiss," her collaboration song with Calvin Harris, and "Scared to be Lonely," which she worked with Martin Garrix.
Towards the end of the concert, Dua Lipa performed the songs "Homesick," "Goodbyes," and "Hotter Than Hell."
She ended her set with the song "Begging."
Dua Lipa ended the concert with "IDGAF" and "New Rules."
