Da Possessed, starring Vhong Navarro and Solenn Heussaff, earned P40 million in three days, according to Star Cinema.

The producer announced this in an email sent to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) earlier today.

The horror-comedy movie opened in Philippine cinemas last Black Saturday, April 19.

Da Possessed marks Vhong’s comeback to the big screen.

According to Star Cinema, Da Possessed has already surpassed the opening day box-office returns of Vhong's previous successful films with director Bb. Joyce Bernal namely Mr. Suave (2003), D’ Anothers (2005), and Agent X44 (2007).

Vhong is quoted as saying: “Pagkatapos ng pinagdaanan ko at pinagdadaanan ko pa…yung suporta ng mga tao sa Da Possessed ang isa sa pinakamagandang nangyari sa akin. Grabe and laki at sarap ng pagmamahal ng mga tao. Kulang ang thank you pero…thank you! Hehehe! Maraming maraming salamat sa lahat ng nanood at sa mga hindi pa, alam ko namang pinaplano na nila yun. Aaayyyyiiiieeeee!”

For her part, Solenn admits that she developed a crush on Vhong because she is attracted to funny guys.

During the blog conference of the movie, Solenn said she developed a crush on Vhong because, "What I want in a guy is someone who can make me laugh. Magaling siyang sumayaw saka cute siya."

When Vhong was asked for his reaction to Solenn's declaration that she has a crush on him. "Siyempre, masarap ang pakiramdam. Napakaganda ni Solenn kaya maraming nai-inggit sa akin. Nagulat nga ako kasi ngayon ko lang napanood ang Take One [referring to the show wherein Solenn said in a taped interview that she had a crush on him].

"Ako inamin ko naman sa kanya na crush ko talaga siya."

Vhong was visibly thrilled as he pointed out, "Pag may nagkaka-crush sa komedyante, ang sinasabi, talented, matalino, at magaling sumayaw. Hindi pinupuri ang itsura.

"Ngayon ako magpapasalamat kasi first time ako napuri na cute raw ako."
