Marvin Agustin is fond of posting throwback photos on his Instagram account.
Two of his throwback posts for November involved ABS-CBN's defunct noontime show Magandang Tanghali Bayan.
Magandang Tanghali Bayan, or simply called MTB, was originally hosted by John Estrada, Randy Santiago, Willie Revillame, Roderick Paulate, Amy Perez, Vanessa del Bianco, and Bayani Agbayani. The show ran from 1999 to 2003.
In 2001, Willie was removed from the show after having creative differences with the show's staff.
ABS-CBN then tapped the Whattamen trio composed by Marvin, Dominic Ochoa, and the late Rico Yan to replace him in MTB.
Whattamen was originally a mini-series top-billed by Marvin, Dominic, and Rico in the year 2000, as part of Star Drama Presents. Due to high ratings, it became a full-length sitcom in September 2001 after they joined MTB.
Marvin reminisced about his MTB days when he posted a group photo of MTB's former hosts last November 2.
Seen in the photo were: Dominic, Rico, Vanessa, Amy, Angela Velez, Bayani, Gary Lim, Bentong, Marvin, Randy, Roderick, and John.
Marvin wrote in the caption (published as is): "MTB!!! super 90’s noon time show! Naalala ko sobrang saya namin ni Rico & Dominic nung sinabi na magiging part kami ng show nato! Haaay... time flies... this is one of the shows ive loved. Araw araw kami magkakasama, para kaming pamilya talaga. Hello MTB gang!"

Marvin's second throwback post about MTB was in November 9, when he published his picture with Rico, Dominic, and Vanessa.
The photo was taken from a summer episode, with Marvin wearing a white sando, Rico wearing a shirt, Dominic in a floral polo, and Vanessa wearing a swimsuit.
Marvin wrote in the caption: "Mga lumang tao, #Batang90s Dom! Vanessa! Lord, pakisabi na lang kay Rico... #flashbackfriday time! This is during our MTB summer special in... BORA ata or Batangas or Fairview lang ata"
On March 29, 2002, Rico died while on vacation at Dos Palmas Resort in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
According to reports, he died of acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.
MTB and Whattamen continued airing without Rico.
In February 2003, MTB had a reformat, causing the show to drop some of its mainstays, including Marvin and Dominic.
Two years after the reformat, Marvin left ABS-CBN and transferred to GMA-7 in 2005.
Currently, Marvin is busy with the upcoming Kapuso afternoon series, Inagaw na Bituin.
