Ikinagulat ng marami ang agarang pagbabalik ni Kris Aquino matapos niyang i-anunsiyo sa kanyang Instagram noong April 10 na magpapahinga muna siya sa social media.
Noong April 15, bigla na lamang nag-post muli si Kris sa kanyang Instagram tungkol sa kanyang kapatid na si dating Presidente Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.
Kasunod ito ng ulat na sinisisi ni Caloocan Second District Representative Edgar Erice ang pagkatalo ni Mar Roxas sa 2016 presidential elections, sa ugnayan nito sa kuya ng aktres.
Si Erice ay campaign manager at spokesperson ni Mar, na tumatakbong senador ngayong 2019 mid-term elections sa ilalim ng Otso Diretso.
Ang senatorial slate na ito ay aligned sa Liberal Party (LP), ang partidong kinabibilangan nina Noynoy, Mar, at Erice.
Sa Instagram post ni Kris noong April 16, isang netizen ang nagtanong kung bakit biglang nagbalik sa social media ang web star.
Ayon pa sa Instagram user na may handle name na @arlenes17, “thought you were signing off in social media? i guess for 24 hrs only.”
Kaagad namang sinagot ito ni Kris.
Saad niya, “@arlenes17 because when you have news that can inspire, when you have a FAMILY that can come together and make LOVE be the center of their relationship, you shout about it from your platform.”
Muling nag-iwan ng comment ang netizen na kumukuwestiyon sa umano'y pabagu-bagong pag-iisip ni Kris.
"@krisaquino i understand that but im not just talking about this post but also your 2 previous posts.
"you said it yourself, you're an AQUINO and you take pride of 'palabra de honor' in your family.
"its mind boggling somehow that it was otherwise.

Kahapon, April 17, nag-post muli si Kris sa Instagram ng video ng anak na si Bimby Aquino-Yap.
Baka daw hindi na siya makapag-post sa mismong ika-12 kaarawan ng anak sa April 19, Biyernes Santo.
Mensahe pa niya sa anak nila ng ex-husband na si James Yap [published as is], "i cannot post this on his actual birthday which will fall on Good Friday.
