Kyline Alcantara is satisfied with the run of defunct afternoon series, Inagaw Na Bituin.
The musical-drama series, which also starred Therese Malvar, Sunshine Dizon, Angelu de Leon, and Angelika dela Cruz, aired from February 11 to May 17, 2019.
A regular GMA-7 series usually runs for 13 to 16 weeks, but can get extended or cut short depending on its performance in the ratings game.
On March 28, 2019, PEP Troika reported that Inagaw Na Bituin might not get a full-season run, and might be cut short on its tenth week because of its ratings.
Originally aired in GMA Afternoon Prime's second time-slot, GMA-7 decided to put Inagaw Na Bituin in the third slot and placed Bihag on the second slot.
Kyline and Therese's show went on airing until its 14th week.
When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to Kyline at the media conference of StarStruck last June 10, she is happy with the show's run, saying, "Full run naman kami.
"Siguro kasi lahat naman kami do'n, ginawa namin yung best para mapaganda yung show and maganda yung show."
Coming from the success of Kambal, Karibal where she played a kontrabida, Kyline played a lead and kind-hearted role in Inagaw Na Bituin.
With this, she said, "Masyado ngang mabait si Anna, hindi siya palaban.
"Lumalaban siya but hindi katulad ng ine-expect ng ating mga viewers but still, I am satisfied with Anna-slash-Elsa.
Despite the show airing for only one season, Kyline is proud of all her experiences in the show, especially working with the likes of Sunshine, Angelu, and Angelika.
"Sobra, sobra kaming close, sobrang close as in yung tipong pinapagalitan nila ako, 'Bakit ganyan yung suot mo?' Yung pagiging mommies nila on the set.
"So, kumbaga, may nabigay naman sila sa akin na rules dito sa industry, lessons, and isa yun sa mga parang proud naman ako.
"All of us, kumbaga, bond lang talaga and working relationship namin, nag-last."
At present, Kyline is busy with her three shows: Sunday PINASaya, Studio 7, and Inside StarStruck. She is also shooting the movie Black Lipstick, a modern version of Snooky Serna's Blusang Itim.
While waiting for her next TV assignment, Kyline has a wish for her next role.
"Sana, bida-kontrabida, but no one knows kung anong ibibigay sa akin, next na challenge sa akin ng network."
