“I really wanted to separate myself from the brand of my mom.

“So, I don’t just willingly say na, ‘O, anak po ako ni Melanie Marquez.’

PAGEANT PLANS

Diin niya, “There’s a right time and place for everything naman po.

“And hindi naman po ako sasali if I don’t feel confident about myself.”

“Her reason is her own naman,” pakli ni Michelle.

NEW YORK MODELING CONTRACT

Napapanood si Michelle sa Love You Two nina Jennylyn Mercado at Gabby Concepcion at sa lifestyle/makeover show na Glow Up.

Lahad niya, “I’m actually proud to say na I got scouted, that’s why I have a contract.”

Kuwento niya, “I was there for Bench, we were shooting a campaign there in New York City, and then the photographer took notice of me.

“He actually got my number and then he texted to meet him.

“And he said, ‘You know I wanted to tell you this in the studio but then I didn’t want the others to... you know, stuff like that.'

“'Pero I wanna bring you to this agency and I feel like they’re gonna like you so much.’

“I went there, alone, and they offered me a contract.”

Three to four years ang kontrata ni Michelle sa naturang agency, ang Click Model Management.

“They know about my career plans here naman [sa Pilipinas].
