Ipinaliwanag ni Anne Curtis kung bakit ipinagtanggol siya ng asawang si Erwan Heussaff sa bashers kaugnay sa sensual scenes niya sa pelikulang Just A Stranger.
“Nabubuwisit siya because some people are closed-minded,” sambit ni Anne sa panayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at Cinema News nitong Agosto 27, Martes, sa set ng Kapamilya noontime show na It’s Showtime.
“You know, I think it's time that people understand na, as an actress, you shouldn't box yourself into just doing mommy roles or mabait na wife role.
“Nabuwisit siya for me actually, so I'm very happy.
"He answered it in a very respectful way that people would understand, so sobra akong natuwa."
After Just A Stranger, open pa ba siyang gumawa ng sexy roles?
“Oo naman, for me it's all about in the script,” tugon ni Anne.
“In fact, before I got Just A Stranger, dapat magre-rest muna ako.
"Kasi, tatlong pelikula na ako last year.
“But when I read the script, sabi ko, ‘Game! Ang ganda nito!’”
ANNE IS PROUD OF MARCO
Dahil R-16 ang ibinigay ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) sa Just A Stranger, kinabahan si Anne na baka limitado ang manood ng movie.
“I'm so, so happy. We're all very scared, kasi yun nga, R-16 siya.
"Pero nakakatuwa, kasi marami pa ring nanonood at nakaka-appreciate sa twist ng story ng ginawa namin.
“Of course, it's an adult drama pero marami pa ring nakaka-relate. Super thank you talaga!
“Kinabahan pero sobra akong confident sa script namin.
"I mean, hindi ko naman gagawin ang isang pelikula kundi ako nagagandahan.”
Proud at masaya si Anne para sa leading man na si Marco Gumabao, na nag-level up dito.
“I think Marco really did a good job on the film.
"I'm so happy that he didn't waste yung opportunity na ibinigay sa kanya.
“Ginagalingan naman talaga niya and sobra siyang nagpapasalamat.
"I'm really proud of Marco and I'm really hoping na after this, tuluy-tuloy na ang lahat sa kanya!” bulalas pa ni Anne.
