Isa si Aiko Melendez sa mga judge ng grand coronation ng Miss World Philippines 2019 ngayong Linggo ng gabi, September 15.
Ngunit sa hindi inaasahang pangyayari ay hindi makakadalo ang aktres na naturang beauty pageant.
Isinugod ni Aiko ang sarili sa ospital kagabi, September 14, matapos makaranas ng pamamanhid sa kaliwang bahagi ng kanyang katawan.
Kinailangan niyang sumailalim sa ilang medical tests upang masigurong hindi siya nagkaroon ng mild stroke.
Hanggang sa napag-alamang inatake siya ng "complicated migraine."
Sinabihan ng kanyang doktor si Aiko na mag-take ng maintenance medicine para sa kanyang migraine.

“I would like to send my apologies to the organizers of Ms World Pageant. For i will not be able to make it later to judge.
"Last night i rushed myself to the hospital not being able to watch the show that i was supposed to see, Doctors put me on monitoring status as I experienced a numbness on my left body.
"They had to take all the necessary tests to rule out that i had a mild stroke. I had CT scan and ECG done.
"And findings is Complicated migraine. I have been sufferering from severe migraine for years already.
"Dr Macalintal advised me that id be on maintenance medicine for migraine since mine is complicated migraine already.
"Just want to thank some people who never left my side. My daughter Marthena Jickain who fell asleep taking care of me. Sorry mimi di tayo nakawatch lastnight i will make it up to you.
"Sis Agnes L. Mora my bestfriend who never left my side from the time they rushed me until now. Thank you.
"And to my partner VG Jay Khonghun who took good care of me and never left me until nakasleep ako.
"I slept at 6:40am coz i was having a hard time with the numbness on my body.
"We only told Andre Yllana about my situation kanina coz we did not want him to worry!
"Praying for fast recovery! In Jesus name include me pls in your prayers.
