"Pero we talk about a lot more things also, like life, future plans, our family’s situation… my mom and I, we’re close naman, e."

“It’s really just about being yourself, trying to shine as your own woman, trying to embrace everything about yourself.

“Kasi, I’m not trying to be like my cousin, I’m not trying to be the next Melanie Marquez. I’m trying to be Michelle Dee.

MISS WORLD PAGEANT

“I feel, like, it’s very strong.

"And that’s not just because of my personal evaluation, it’s because of the evaluation that I’ve had from other people.

“I never grew up dreaming to be a beauty queen, but I do believe in myself.

“I believe that I have the qualities to become a beauty queen.

"I’ve been helping other people ever since I was young, sports is such a big thing.

“Thanks to my mom, I have the height and I have her guidance as well.

"I believe in their support system so much, my training camp as well, which is Aces & Queens.

"I feel, like, we have a really good chance.

“Just with the international polls, I’ve been consistently in the Top 10.

"So, I’m just hoping that I can continue that momentum,” pahayag ni Michelle.

So, sa inyo manggagaling yun.”

At hindi raw ito "Melanie walk."

“Hindi po, kasi siyempre, magkaiba kami ng persoality ng nanay ko and yung walk na ginagawa mo you’re trying to show your own personality.

“Well, I admire my mom also, I feel na that’s something I should be proud of.

"Kasi, not everyone gets someone like my mom as their parent.

“I’ve had such a good upbringing, she’s done nothing but support me very, very well. In terms of comparison, it’s something that I take positively.”

“I have two autistic siblings po kasi, so it’s a life-long advocacy for me.”
