“We were just told about it when we got to the studio yesterday morning,” pahayag ng veteran actor-host sa panayam ni Ricky Lo na lumabas sa The Philippine STAR ngayong Martes, March 10.
“A sign was placed at the entrance that we won’t be accepting ‘live’ audience for the meantime, but we don’t know how long it will last.”
Ang Eat Bulaga! ay ginaganap sa APT Studios sa Cainta, Rizal.
Paalala pa ni Joey: “No more beso-beso, no more kissing, no more shaking hands, just a simple ‘hi’ or ‘hello’ from a distance.”
Nakasaad dito ang pansamantalang pagsuspinde ng show sa pagkakaroon ng live audience dahil sa "COVID-19 outbreak in the Philippines, which has placed the country in a state of public health emergency.”
Layon ng hakbang na ito “to help prevent the spread of the virus and to ensure the healthy and safety of its talent, staff, crew and members of its audience.”
Pakiusap pa ng management: "Please understand that this decision was made after extensive and careful consideration in order to cooperate with government efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.”

It’s Showtime, ASAP Natin ‘To, Magandang Buhay, Banana Sundae, at I Can See Your Voice.
Bahagi ng kanilang statement: “ABS-CBN has decided to temporarily stop admitting studio audience to its shows starting today (10 March 2020), following the government’s declaration of a state of public health emergency.
“We feel that it is our shared responsibility to help in preventing the spread of the COVID-19.
“Thank you Kapamilya for the support, understanding, and patronage of our shows.”
