Saad ng singer-songwriter: “I lost my brother on that flight.

“No words can describe how devastating it is to lose a family member in such a horrific way.

“How do you process something like this. How.

“All I know is that he fought like a hero and I can only hope that his fight would not be in vain.

“RIP, Nicko. I love you my brother. I will honor you forever.”

PLM LOST TWO DOCTORS IN TWO WEEKS

“It is with extreme sadness that I inform you that PLM lost another one of its own while performing his sworn duty to save lives.

“Dr Nicko Bautista, a 2014 graduate of the PLM College of Medicine died in a medical evacuation flight that crashed earlier tonight at NAIAA airport en route to Haneda, Japan.

“Dr. Bautista is the 2nd PLM doctor that we lost in two weeks. Dr Israel Bactol died last week due to COVID 19 infection.”

DR. BAUTISTA'S LAST FACEBOOK POSTS

May titulo itong “WHEN YOU LIE. WE DIE.”

Pahayag ni Dr. Bautista: “I stand with the medical community in honoring one of our fallen comrades in his battle with COVID-19.

“He was a frontliner who was fulfilling his line of duty.

“I’ve heard a lot of wonderful things about him and now he lost his life early, simply because a patient and the family did not bother to disclose their travel history.

“Just because they thought it was better to lie to their doctors.

“And because of that 1 lie, 1 has lost his life, while 38 more were quarantined, and a lot more unknown.

“Just because they thought it was better to lie.”

Mahigpit niyang pakiusap, “Consider your actions.

“We try our best to protect you from this horrid disease, but who will protect us?

“Kindly do your part.

“Stay at home.

“Don’t lie to your doctors.

“Check your privilege.”

Mensahe pa niya para sa kapwa PLM graduate na si Dr. Bactol, “May your soul rest in peace good doctor.

“We will continue the fight.

"When will we be first? When we start dropping like flies left and right? When there’s only a few left? When?

"Who will take our place when all of us fall ill because we couldn’t get tested early enough, cause there wasn’t any available testing kits?

"You? The people who sit in the comforts of your home, able to live out the months ahead with no worries in mind, since you were able to get tested, even tho it wasn’t part of protocol? Just so you can get peace of mind?

"Is it you, who’s going to be in the frontlines? Or are you just going there to show face and say that you were there?

"You thank us and say that you have immense gratitude to the people sacrificing in the frontlines of this dreaded disease, and yet you do this?"
