Sinagot ni Cavite 7th District Representative Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla ang open letter sa kanya ng nakababatang kapatid na si Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla.
Binasa raw mabuti ng kongresista ang sulat ng kapatid, at tinatanaw niyang malaking utang na loob ang pagpapa-alala nito sa kanya.
May kinalaman ito sa viral video kung saan nahuli si Congressman Remulla na nagsusulat sa kanyang desk habang tumutugtog ang Pambansang Awit ng Pilipinas sa plenary hall.
Ang anumang kawalang respeto sa “Lupang Hinirang” ay paglabag sa Section 38 ng Republic Act 8491, o ang Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines.
Binanggit din ni Governor Jonvic sa open letter ang ginagawang hearing ng komite ng kapatid sa ABS-CBN franchise renewal.
Si Congressman Remulla ay vice chairperson ng House committee on good government and public accountability, na katuwang ng commitee on legislative franchises na dumidinig sa franchise renewal ng ABS-CBN sa Kongreso.
Nakatatanggap ng pambabatikos si Congressman Remulla mula sa netizens dahil sa paraan niya ng pagtatanong sa imbitadong resource persons mula sa ABS-CBN.
Tila hinatulan na kasi niya ang mga ito bago pa man makapagpaliwanag o makasagot.
Sabi ni Governor Jonvic kay Congressman Remulla, “We owe the people to be respectful.
“We owe the people clarity. We owe the country FACTS.
“As leaders, we owe the people examples of civility which they can learn from. Whether we like it or not, as public servants our behaviour shapes and influences others.
“Our language becomes the people’s language. Our attitude is seen and judged everyday.”
"MONSTROSITY CALLED ABS-CBN"
Ngayong Sabado, July 4, sa pamamagitan din ng Facebook, sinagot ni Congressman Remulla si Governor Jonvic.
Aniya, “I read your letter intently and I am grateful for your concern.
“You used the term respect and until now, I cannot get over my mistake of writing a note while the National Anthem was playing.”
Humingi na raw ng dispensa ang mambabatas, at patuloy raw siyang humihingi ng kapatawaran ukol dito.
Sabi pa niya, “I am only human. I am sorry.”
Kasunod nito ay binanatan nang husto ni Congressman Remulla ang ABS-CBN.
Sinabi ng mambabatas na bago simulan ang ika-siyam na hearing para sa ABS-CBN franchise noong Miyerkules, July 1, binalaan siya ng isang "very good and respected friend" tungkol sa "MONSTROSITY called ABS-CBN."
Saad pa ni Congressman Remulla, “He told me that ABS-CBN is like a God, with tons of money and other resources at their disposal, to be used to crush anybody who would stand in their way, like the tragic figure called ERAP that the masses elected in 1998.”
Ang "ERAP" na tinutukoy niya ay si dating Pangulong Joseph "Erap" Estrada, na natanggal sa puwesto sa pamamagitan ng People Power Revolution, na kilala rin sa tawag na EDSA 2, noong January 2001.
Hindi naman tinukoy ng mambabatas kung sino ang kaibigang nagpaabot sa kanya ng mensahe tungkol sa ABS-CBN.
Ayon pa kay Congressman Remulla, nakontrol na raw ng ABS-CBN ang kaisipan at buhay ng maraming tao. Nahinto lamang daw ito noong martial law.
Kabilang ang ABS-CBN sa mga kumpanyang na-sequester nang ideklara ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos ang martial law noong September 21, 1972.
Naibalik sa mga Lopez ang pag-aari ng ABS-CBN noong 1989, sa ilalim ng administrasyon ng dating Pangulong Corazon Aquino.
Saad ng kongresista mula sa Cavite, “Yes, they had gained control over the minds and lives of many of our people, interrupted only by the advent of Martial Law.
“Before Martial Law, they were able to make Congress pass 3 laws that gave them 3 franchises of 50 years each, REPUBLIC ACT 5730, 5731 and 5733. All in one day!!! Yes, Jonvic, this will not be an easy fight.”
Ang Republic Act 5730 ay batas na nagbibigay ng prangkisa sa Bolinao Electronics Corporation upang magpatayo, mag-maintain, at mag-operate ng mga istasyon para sa internal telecommunication at istasyon ng telebisyon sa bansa.
Ang Republic Act 5731 naman ay prangkisa para sa Manila Chronicle upang magpatayo, mag-maintain, at mag-operate ng radio broadcasting stations at television stations sa bansa.
Ang Republic Act 5733 ay prangkisa para sa Bolinao Electronics Corporation upang magpatayo, mag-maintain, at mag-operate ng radio stations sa buong bansa.
Ang tatlong panukalang batas na ito ay napirmahan sa loob ng isang araw noong June 21, 1969.
Lumalabas na malalim ang galit ni Congressman Remulla sa ABS-CBN. Dagdag pa niya, mahigit tatlong dekada na raw bini-brainwash ng network ang publiko tungkol sa mga tiwaling kongresista at government officials.
Saad ni Congressman Remulla: “But we have to make it known, to the people of our country, and to history that there were public servants who fought for the public good.
“For the past 33 years, since the passage of the 1987 Constitution, ABS-CBN has implanted into the public pysche the abuse, corruption and stupidity of Congress and government officials and workers.
“They have brainwashed our people that there is no honor in public service and never allowed anybody to answer back in the same forum. Or the same television programs.”
CHARACTER ASSASINATION
Pag-akusa pa ni Remulla, nagbabayad daw ang ABS-CBN ng mga magagaling na tagapagtanggol at iba pang propesyunal upang mabantayan ang kanilang mga interes.
Siya raw mismo ay siniraan ng network. Gamit daw ang salapi nito, pinakilos daw ng ABS-CBN ang mga trolls para wasakin ang pagkatao niya sa social media.
Ito ang eksaktong pahayag ng kongresista: “They have hired the best lawyers, accountants and other professionals that money can buy to guard over their interests.
“They have displayed contempt for Congress by violating their franchise and franchises given by law to other people, such as AMCARA and the Carandang family.
“They have repeatedly lied to Congress, and in doing so, have shown a very low regard for the Filipino.
“And they have used social media to assasinate my character, employing millions of trolls in the process.”
Sa huli, nagpasamalat muli si Congressman Remulla kay Governor Jonvic.
Pinapurihan din niya ang magandang pamamalakad ng kapatid sa Cavite.
“Thank you for your concern. And I remember our father who served the Province of Cavite and the Filipino People wholeheartedly and endured the hard road of public service. Continue your good work as governor.
“You are doing a great job as Governor. Allow me to finish what I started. And maybe, wish me well in the process.”

Bunso nilang kapatid si Gilbert Remulla, 49, dating ABS-CBN news reporter at dati ring kongresista.
