Robi Domingo did his best to hold back tears as he read the official statement of MYX on reducing its on- and off-cam workforce.

Robi has been part of the music channel as one of its VJs since 2008.

He said in his social media posts that reading the statement was "one of the most difficult tasks I had to do."

MYX announced that majority of its staff and VJs "were among the thousands of retrenched ABS-CBN workers."

The channel will continue to broadcast with a "small but dedicated team" via cable, online, and social media.

Promising to stay true to its signature tag of "Your Choice, Your Music," MYX said in the statement that it will continue to be "a vital part of the Filipino youth's music experience and to champion Filipino artists as we have done for almost 20 years."

For his part, Robi wrote in his message to MYX: "Thank you for the magical moments and learnings, Myx. You will always be my home. Whatever happens, I will continue to support the no.1 music channel in the Philippines."

"Salamat, Myx"

While cleaning up his closet, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate saw the symbolical check for his cash prize. He briefly recalled his winning night 12 years ago.

His Instagram post read: "Whenever I see this, I remember that night in Trinoma for the Myx VJ search in 2008, and also the value of it. I don't see 100k worth of services but a million dreams and moments I gained when I became a part of this family.
