Are Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla getting married?
The love team’s answer: “We’re getting married... sa pinakabagong handog sa ating lahat ng Star Cinema. Sa digital movie series na The House Arrest of Us.”
Called a “digi-movie series,” KathNiel’s new project is a 13-part romantic family series produced by Star Cinema. It will be aired on digital platforms: KTX and iWant TFC.
According to ABS-CBN News, Kathryn and Daniel’s characters are “two individuals caught by the lockdown under one roof, together with their families.”
Kathryn and Daniel clarified that this project is not in any way related to their 2018 blockbuster movie, The Hows of Us.
For two weeks now, the two have been in a lock-in taping, which was described by Kathryn as "iba siya sa nakasanayan namin."
She elaborated, “Naka-lock in lahat iyong set-up ‘tapos limited lang talaga iyong mga pumapasok, at lahat pina-follow iyong safety protocols.
“Nakakapanibago pero lahat naman nagko-comply.”
Daniel added, “Kakaiba iyong experience na nandito kami sa village, parang nasa bubble lang din kami.
“Walang puwedeng lumabas o pumasok. Kami kami lang ang nandito, astig din siya.”
Also part of The House Arrest of Us are Gardo Verzosa, Ruffa Gutierrez, Dennis Padilla, and Herbert Bautista.
Arlene Muhlach, Anthony Jennings, Alora Sasam, Riva Quenery, and Hyubs Azarcon are also members of the cast.
Richard Arellano, the director of La Luna Sangre and Bagani, helms the KathNiel digi-movie series.
Daniel added about the project, “Kaya namin ginawa ito dahil gusto naming bigyan ng kasiyahan ang mga tao.
“Sa panahon ngayon na maraming binibigay na pagsubok at problema, gusto natin magbigay ng ngiti.”
According to the ABS-CBN News report, there are two ways for KathNiel fans to watch The House Arrest of Us.

KathNiel fans and viewers can also catch the series via ABS-CBN’s streaming platform iWant TFC, where, for the price of PHP499, all 13 parts of the movie can be streamed starting October 25.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN has yet to give an update about the upcoming teleserye of Kathryn and Daniel that will be aired on Kapamilya Channel.
Developments about the project are still under wraps.
