The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin, starring Vice Ganda and Richard Yap, has reached the P300 million mark.
Through his Twitter account, Vice Ganda disclosed the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry has earned P300 million as of January 2.
In a previous interview, the comedian expressed hope that Praybeyt Benjamin 2 would surpass the box-office gross of his 2013 MMFF entry Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy that earned P456 million.
GBBT, which also starred Maricel Soriano, is considered as the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.

As of January 1, 2015, the 40th Metro Manila Film Fest entries have already earned P701 million in the box-office.

This was revealed by Dominic Du of the MMFF executive committee in an interview with Yahoo Philippines.
The official also disclosed that Praybeyt Benjamin 2 is still the highest grossing Metro Manila Film Fest entry as of January 1.
Mr. Du also pointed out that English Only, Please, starring Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado, was able to enter the four top-grossing MMFF entries.
The romantic comedy was able to overtake the box-office figures of the action comedy film Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2.
