"I'm Billie Hakenson, I’m representing Cavite. And I’m a bisexual, and I’m proud to be here."

"I'm actually not that afraid to show my tough side. I am not really as feminine as most women,” sagot ni Billie.

Dugtong niya, "I have this androgynous side and I am confident in showing it off. I love how it jives with my personality, and how actually it’s a big part of me.

"And I am doing my best to use that as a tool in this journey."

A SELF-CONFESSED LGBTQ MEMBER, FEMINIST

Caption niya rito: "Will forever be grateful and honored to raise our flag."

"I was and I still am. But there are a lot of ranges in terms of being a feminist.

"And basically, what I am is a supporter of women.

"I support women’s rights, and fairness and equality," aniya sa interview ng pageant enthusiast na si RJ Ignacio noong October 10.

HOW she came to join pageants

Taong 2012 daw iyon.

“So, everything changed. My whole point of view of beauty pageant industry changed massively.

“I was able to appreciate the ladies even more. I saw how talented, how strong, how intelligent these girls are.

“And to name a few, Attorney Tere Licaros, we have Architect Shamcey Supsup..."

“We can do whatever we want, and we have to take ownership of our lives.

"And this is something that we, as beauty queens, can show to the world, to the universe, to younger generation, and to younger women...

"In the hopes that we can inspire and to do the same thing, not necessarily beauty pageants, but also discover their own strengths.”

Isinusulong niya ang W.I.N. o Women Empowerment and Individual Advocates towards Nature and wildlife preservation and responsiveness, na isang “comprehensive self-penned advocacy.”

Aniya tungkol dito, “So, basically, I’m the face of women empowerment, and which is perfect, which is [in] line with the organizations advocacy, which is also women empowerment.”
