by Rommel R. Llanes Pagtatapat ng The Boy Foretold By The Stars actor na si Keann Johnson, na-experience niyang ma-bully nung nasa bata pa lang siya dahil sa pagkakaroon niya ng lesbian na ina.
Ginawa ni Keann ang pagtatapat sa PEP Exclusives interview nila ng co-star niyang si Adrian Lindayag.
Mapapanood ang kabuuan ng kanilang PEP Exclusives interview mamayang 6 p.m. sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) Facebook page.
Sa clip na ito mula sa full interview, tinanong muna ng hosts na sina Nikko Tuazon at Bernie Franco kung nakaka-relate sina Keann at Adrian sa kanilang characters sa kanilang Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2020 movie.
Sagot ni Adrian nakaka-relate siya sa character niyang nagtatago ng tunay na katauhan habang teenager.
Sa The Boy Foretold By The Stars, ginagampanan ni Adrian ang role ng high school closet gay na si Dominic.
Si Keann naman, hindi raw niya naranasan ang pagkakaroon ng closeted or confused phase sa kanyang buhay, pero ibinahagi naman niya ang pag-a-out sa kanya noon ng kanyang ina.
Kuwento ni Keann, bata pa lang siya ay ipinagtapat na sa kanya ng kanyang ina na attracted din ito sa kapwa babae.
"As a child, she helped me understand na why it's like this. Of course, as a child, you were taught na, a man should love a woman and a woman should love a man. Almost never the same sex.
"My mom has widened my perspective din, e. So, it made me understanding... to that situation.
"But of course, in the U.S., alam niyo naman, not a lot of people are as accepting.
"So, when I was in grade school pa, a lot of kids would bully me because my mom was a lesbian and I have two moms, ganun-ganun...na I have a broken family.
"Of course, yes, it hurts. Pero dun ko rin na-realize na these are just empty words people are throwing at me because they are insecure about their lives. These are just opinions from other people.
"Basta ako, I know na yung mom ko is masaya with her life and mahal niya yung taong kung sino man yung gusto niya, lalaki man o babae," sabi pa ni Keann.
Hindi rin daw siya naaapektuhan ng mga binabatong masasakit na salita sa kanya ng ibang tao.
"I don't care. Masaya pa rin ako, regardless. Kasi mahal ko mama ko and mahal niya ako, we understand each other... We're all happy!"
