Kumusta Bro, the interactive live Boys’ Love (BL) series that started on Kumu, is now going to be a full-length TV series.
The cast—still led by Pinoy Big Brother: Otso alumnus Sky Quizon and It’s Showtime Bidaman Kristof Garcia—had its lock-in taping in Tagaytay in November 2020.
Original Kumusta Bro cast members Allen Cecilio and RJ Agustin as well as newbie JM Mendoza were also at the lock-in taping.
Allen is a product of Pinoy Boyband Superstar, while RJ is a Star Music artist.
JM is the winner of the recently-held search for the fifth Bro of Kumusta Bro.
Now dubbed as Kumusta Bro: The Series, a teaser which they called “year-end gift” will be released on December 29, 2020.
Producer Firestarters Productions released some outtakes and behind-the-scene photos from the series' lock-in taping:
The live-interactive series told the story of Thirdy (Sky), a brokenhearted guy who got reconnected with his schoolmates through a Kumu stream: Bench (Kristof), Dean (Allen), and Cerwin (RJ Agustin).
Secrets about their true feelings toward Thirdy were then slowly revealed.
The official release date of Kumusta Bro: The Series is yet to be announced.
The lead stars of Kumusta Bro had also appeared in guest appearances for PEP.ph’s online talk show, PEP Live.
