Saad ni Nadine, "So, we were all locked in, right? And then I just came from, like, a months of, like, stress, and pressure, and all that. I wasn’t getting this much projects.
“So, I had not much work. So, I was really struggling.
“I was thinking to myself na parang, ‘Shit, wala akong work,' so I might, you know, eventually might be a has been or, you know, that kind of thing."
Sabi ni Nadine, “During the pandemic, I had a lot of time to think about what it is that I really want, and then a lot of things happened.
“I would have conversations with myself and I would always tell myself to just, you know, ‘Take your time, there’s no rush, you know, the world’s not gonna end tomorrow.’
“So many things, but one of the things that I believed in is just be me, and not look for validation from other people. To just do whatever it is that I want to do.
"If I don’t have projects, then that’s fine, I’ll do something else.
"It’s not that my life is dependent on that.”
“PARANG I WAS JUST LOST”
Saad ni Nadine, “For me, I believe it gave us time to look inside, e.
“Kasi the last five years, I’ve been, like, grinding lang, like, every day working non-stop, always busy, no pause.
“So, there’s really no time to think what it is that you want and who you really are. And I lost sight of that.
“Because, you know, I was busy, and doing a lot of roles, and I have people in my ear telling me, ‘What I should be, what I should wear.’”
Aniya, “Aside from that, there are people online, you know, telling me na ‘Dapat hindi ganyan, dapat ganito.’
“You know, putting me in a mold that they made for me.
“But, it affected me so much that I lost myself.
“I didn’t know who I was, I didn’t know what I want. I didn’t know, parang, I was just lost.”
“And then, I realized that I should be kinder to myself, ‘coz before, you know this, I’m a person... I was perfectionist, I’ll beat myself up when I don’t do something perfectly or parang to me, like, 110 percent.
“If I fail, feels like, 'I’m ano, like, parang a failure.'"
NADINE LEAVES VIVA ARTISTS AGENCY
