Kahapon, June 26, 2021 (Sabado), sa kabila ng kasalukuyang pandemya, ay itinanghal ang 4th Asia Pacific Luminare Awards (APLA) sa Grand Ballroom ng Okada Manila, Parañaque City, Philippines.
The Asia Pacific Luminare Awards is an organization that searches for the best of the best individuals and companies across all of Asia—including industry titans, entertainment and cultural artists, corporate heroes, advocates of planet and people.
Spearheading the organization is actor/painter/philanthropist Jao Mapa and filmmaker and event organizer Perry Escaño, chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, of Asia Pacific Luminare Awards.
"I want to say congratulations to all our awardees. We look forward to seeing more success, better leadership and charity works from you in the future. You earned it!" sabi ni Jao.
Jao graduated at the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Fine Arts, major in advertising. He had his first major art show at Grey Gallery in Antipolo, Rizal in 2012. Bilang isang film and television actor, he has 50 credit titles for Philippine Cinema and television, mula noong 1990s.
“It is essential that we learn from their experiences and encourage them to continue in what they are doing and even support their growth so that they can be more and do more,” sabi ni Professor Angelito Buan, marketing director ng event.
Recipients of the awards are selected from candidates nominated by the awards council (peers from the same field, or, beneficiaries of their work). Each month a particular field is highlighted and nominees are received two (2) months prior to the awarding to give time for the award council to gather and confirm information provided.
NORA AUNOR, Hall of Famer of Philippine Cinema
WENDELL RAMOS, Most Empowered Actor of the Year
Personal namang tinanggap ni Wendell Ramos ang kanyang parangal bilang Most Empowered Actor of the Year. Overwhelmed si Wendell sa kanyang acceptance speech on stage.

Banggit ni Wendell sa kanyang thank you speech: “For me, right now, kaya siguro na-acknowledge ako to be given this recognition by Luminare, baka I’m doing good behind it, sa likod ng camera.
“Please allow me to give my gratitude sa mga tao na naniwala sa akin at mabigyan ng ganitong opportunity na magkaroon ako ng bagong venture sa buhay ko, aside from showbiz industry. Ito yung my business ventures."
