Maja Salvador's TV5 prime-time series, Niña Niño, is extended for another season.
Based on an Instagram story posted by make-up artist Randy Gabin, Maja and the cast are currently in their lock-in taping for the series.
Maja can be heard exclaiming: "Season two!!!"
Niña Niño was supposed to run for one season or 13 weeks, occupying the 7:15 p.m. slot. Its premiere happened in April, and its finale was slated for June.
Cignal and Spring Films have yet to officially announce the show's second season, but the series has consistently made it to AGB Nielsen NUTAM ratings' Top 20 programs.
On July 5, Niña Niño ranked 12th, with a rating of 4.8%—its highest so far and the second time it hit such mark (the first was on June 7).
Since May, it has been registering 4%.
Maja shares the top billing with child actor Noel Comia Jr.
Empoy Marquez and Arron Villaflor are also part of the major cast.
