John Prats admits it's quite a challenge to be part of two ABS-CBN TV shows.
Since 2016, John has been playing the role of Jerome, a member of Cardo’s (Coco Martin) Task Force Agila, in the Kapamilya prime-time series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
In July 2021, John was assigned to become the director of another long-running ABS-CBN program, It’s Showtime, which holds live shows every two weeks. He first joined the show in May 2021 as director of the “Reina ng Tahanan” segment.
In his recent interview with Miguel Dumaual of ABS-CBN News, John said doing two Kapamilya flagship shows is “really hard.”
Add to it the fact that he is a family man with three kids.
Now that John is about to enter another cycle of lock-in taping for FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, he has to take a break from his directorial duties in It’s Showtime, which airs daily.
Other directors will helm the noontime show temporarily for the duration John is inside the bubble taping,
In the meantime, what does the future hold for the character of John in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Is Jerome going to be killed?
John stressed, “Wala pa namang sinasabing ganoon!”
He went on to sing high praises for FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano lead star and director Coco Martin.
John said, “Ibibigay ko sa matalik kong kaibigan, si Coco.
“Sobra niyang suportado iyong pagdidirek ko at nararamdaman ko iyon every time nag-uusap kami kung gaano siya ka-proud sa akin, at kung gaano rin ako ka-proud sa kanya kung ano ang achievements niya.”
