It's confirmed: Xian Lim is officially a Kapuso.
He attended the virtual story conference of Jennylyn Mercado's upcoming prime-time series, Love, Die, Repeat.
Joining Jennylyn and Xian in the series are Mike Tan, Gardo Versoza, Valerie Concepcion, Shyr Valdez, and Kim Domingo.
Jennylyn announced that the storycon happened earlier today, August 16, 2021, on her Instagram account.
She wrote, "Storycon in my pajamas because why not?! Love, Die, Repeat, coming to you bessies real soon!"
The speculation that Xian would be Jennylyn's next leading man in her Kapuso series first came out in PEP Troika column on June 23, signalling his transfer to GMA-7.
In July 2021, it was reported that Xian and Jennylyn would soon be starting their lock-in taping for the series.
Prior to Xian's first teleserye with GMA-7, he first appeared in a special program of an online shopping app in July 2021 with Jessy Mendiola.
Xian was also supposed to host the Miss World Philippines pageant on August 8, but the show was postponed due to the rising cases of COVID-19.
XIAN LIM: KAPAMILYA-KAPATID-KAPUSO
Xian started his career in 2008 via ABS-CBN. Some of the shows he did were My Girl (2008), Katorse (2009), and Rubi (2010).
In 2011, Xian got his big break when he became one of Kim Chiu's three leading men in My Binondo Girl. The two other guys were Jolo Revilla and Matteo Guidicelli.
In the story as originally planned, Xian was not supposed to get the girl, but his pairing with Kim was the one that earned a fanbase.
Because of its success, their team-up was followed by Ina Kapatid Anak in 2012 and the movies Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?, Bride For Rent, and Past Tense.
The screen love team of Kim and Xian developed into a real relationship, which remains strong to this day.
In 2016, Xian did the teleserye The Story of Us with Kim, and in 2017, the teleserye A Love To Last with Bea Alonzo.
In late 2017, Xian decided to leave Star Magic and sign with VIVA Artists Agency.
He would return to ABS-CBN after three years of absence from TV in the afternoon series Love Thy Woman in 2020, where he was also paired with Kim.
In 2021, Xian appeared on TV5 as the host of the short-lived game show 1000 Heartbeats, which was produced by VIVA Entertainment.
