Pinoy televiewers know Mac Logan for his distinct voice and funny stories on TV Patrol.
He takes pride in the 25-year-old "Mga Kuwento ni Marc Logan," which, he says, is "the longest-running segment on Philippine television news."
But did you know he has a "real job" in ABS-CBN's news department?
In his interview with LX2 Entertainment's Round the Clock on YouTube, he calls himself an "assignment editor," who is in charge of "traffic, transport, entertainment, sports, features."
And he describes his routine, he also gives an idea on how ABS-CBN's main flagship newscast chooses its story line-up.
In a nutshell, his positions makes him "handle reporters on a daily basis," and requires him to have a "foresight" of what will happen each day.
Though people only see him every Friday on TV Patrol, he reports daily, and his day starts as early as six o'clock in the morning with "partner ng journalists"—a cup of coffee "kahit walang pandesal."
His first task is to prepare his "outlook for the day"—and it's not just for "trabaho" but also his "pagkatao."

By 7 a.m., he should have an "outlook" of tasks for the reporters under him.
Next, he submits via their Viber chat room "yung aking line-up," then by 9:30 a.m., he holds a one-hour meeting with up to "15 people" plus their "head."
Just before having his lunch, he gives more instructions to his reporters if need be.
The veteran newsman's mornings are usually busy, but he doesn't let the pressure ruin his day.
"Medyo mabigat sa umaga pa lang kung mapapansin niyo. Kaya siguro nila ako nilagay diyan para hindi ako masyadong pressured. Masayahin ako. Lagi-lagi lang masaya, happy lang."

At 1:30 p.m., "balik meeting kami lahat, mga desk editors, to check on each other: 'Ano na nabuo natin? Anong istorya ang puwede na nating ibenta na sa mga producer ng...TV Patrol, which is from 6:30 [p.m.] to 8 o' clock every day?'"
The rest of the afternoon is spent on monitoring the output of his reporters.
He continues, "Between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., iyan na yung abangan na ng script; 5 p.m. to 6:30, editing time na iyan so dun na sa opisina iyon. They do the hard work of editing already of each story na pumasa sa panlasa ng producers."
His task are technically done by the time the TV Patrol airs.
And once he switches off his work mode, his full attention is on his family.
Mark elaborates, "I don't really share alam mo yun yung pressure ng ginagawa namin every day. Kailangan ibang picture ang makita nila sa iyo na energetic ka pa rin, na masaya ka pa rin sa kanila, at meron ka pa ring natirang energy para sa kanila."
The pandemic has given him the chance to cook for his wife and two kids, and be a hands-on dad to his bunso Curry Logan.
This period of the day is "gadget fee."
He says, "Itatabi mo na...yung cellphone mo."
Before Marc sleeps at around 11 p.m., he ends his day with another cup of coffee because "pampatulog ko siya."
