ABS-CBN and GMA-7 programs have been recognized once again for the 2021 edition of the prestigious New York Festivals’ World's Best TV & Film Awards.

This time, the Philippines bagged two medals and five finalist certificates from both networks.

ABS-CBN’S ONLY ENTRY RECEIVES SILVER

ABS-CBN’s lone entry, Fedelina: A Stolen Life, won a silver world medal in the Documentary: Biography/Profiles category.

Aired on Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live in October 2020, this documentary tackles the story of Fedelina Lugasan, an 83-year-old woman who was enslaved for 65 years by her trafficker in Los Angeles, California.

Fedelina: A Stolen Life, is one of the documentaries that ABS-CBN’s DocuCentral department managed to produce despite being largely affected by the Kapamilya network’s shutdown and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
