Star Magic actor Neil Coleta is set to be seen in his first teleserye with GMA-7.
Neil is in the cast of the upcoming Kapuso prime-time series Widows' Web, top-billed by Pauline Mendoza, Ash Ortega, Vaness del Moral, and Carmina Villarroel.
On Instagram, Neil posted an outtake from the lock-in taping with Pauline and Edgar Allan Guzman.
Pauline also posted a group photo with Edgar Allan and Neil together with their other co-stars Allan Paule and Tanya Gomez during a location shoot.
In the caption, Pauline hinted that she, Neil, Allan, and Tanya are all part of a family in the series.
Edgar Allan, meanwhile, was previously shown in the teaser as Pauline’s love interest.
Also in the cast of Widows’ Web, which is scheduled to premiere in February, are Adrian Alandy, Ryan Eigenmann, Anjay Anson, Christian Vazquez, and Arthur Solinap.
It is the first project of former Kapamilya director Jerry Lopez Sineneng, who transferred to GMA-7 in 2021.
Widows’ Web is Neil’s first full-length Kapuso project after doing two episodes of Imbestigador in 2021.
Despite his inclusion in a GMA-7 project, Neil remains a talent of Star Magic, ABS-CBN's talent management arm.
Neil first started his TV career in 2008 via the TV5 youth-oriented series Lipgloss.
He then starred in a commercial for an iced-tea brand.
This paved the way for him to be discovered by ABS-CBN and, later, to be included in the 2011 drama series 100 Days To Heaven.
His other projects in ABS-CBN were Growing Up (2011), Aryana (2012), Juan dela Cruz (2013), Dyesebel (2014), Born For You (2016), The Blood Sisters (2018), and The Killer Bride (2019), apart from his appearances in Maalaala Mo Kaya and Ipaglaban Mo.
Neil also became a part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano for different seasons in 2015, 2020, and 2021.
Neil’s last appearance as a Kapamilya was in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya in early 2021.
He also promoted this episode on PEP.ph’s taped show, PEP Spotlight, where he also revealed that he was already a father.
