Ang kandidata ng Pilipinas na si Shane Tormes ang kinoronahang Miss Global 2022.
Siya ang kauna-unahang Pilipina na nakakuha ng nasabing titulo.
Ginanap ang pageant nitong nakaraang Sabado ng gabi, June 11, 2022, sa Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center sa Indonesia.
Ang kandidata naman mula sa Malaysia na si Sandra Lim ang tinanghal na first runner-up at si Brooke Rankin (Miss Australia) naman ang second runner-up.
Sabi ni Shane bago mag-coronation night, "Always be FEARLESS in the pursuit that sets your soul ON FIRE. [fire emoji]
"I am and will always be grateful for the 11 years of being on stage representing not just myself but different places all over the country.
"Finally this moment has come that has been my long awaited dream. I am proud to be called PINAY and I am happy to be able to represent you PHILIPPINES.
"Maraming salamat po sa mga patuloy na naniniwala at sumusuporta. Mabuhay po tayong lahat! LABAN PILIPINAS!"

Ayon sa ulat ng ABS-CBN News, tinanong ang Top 13 ng kanilang interpretasyon sa tema ng pageant na “Built To Last.”
Dito ay ibinahagi niya na ang kanyang inang namayapa dahil sa cancer ang naging inspirasyon at sandigan niya sa buhay at pageant life.
Kuwento ni Shane, “Before my Miss Global journey, I just lost my mom last December due to cancer.
"And she was the very inspiration why I took the motivation to continue my journey.
"Built to last, it means rebuilding my life until the very end. I believe that in every chapter, in every adversity, we have to stand up.
“I believe that even though my mom is not physically here anymore, she has the best seat in heaven watching over me.
"And I believe, whatever you've set to, pray to, cried to, is the setup for your next best season.”
