DUET WITH ED SHEERAN
To this day, Aaron is on cloud nine savoring his TikTok moment with Ed Sheeran.
He described to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via Zoom last June 8, 2022 what that moment was like for him.
"It was really nerve-wracking po talaga kasi out of all the duet videos po, akin po yung napili niya, e.
"So, ano po yun, 2 a.m. po nun, nag-i-scroll lang po ako sa TikTok nun. Then nag-notify na 'Ed Sheeran dueted your video,' sabi pong ganun.
"Then, actually, ang ano ko po, ang first reaction ko po is hindi ako naniniwala na siya talaga.
"But then nakita ko po yung check mark sign, talagang legit po talaga na si Ed [Sheeran].
"And when I watched the video, I was literally stunned po talaga. Hindi po ako makapagsalita.
"Hindi ko po alam if sisigaw ako, titili ako, iiyak ako, o matutuwa ako. Yun po. Really nerve-wracking po. And pag iniisip ko po siya talagang kinikilig po ako."
Aaron also related how his family and close friends reacted, "Hindi rin po nila ine-expect.
"Kasi talaga, among millions of videos na nagdu-duet ng songs ni Ed Sheeran... talagang sa akin yung pinili niya.
"Sa akin yung pinili niya i-duet. Nakakataba po ng puso."
Aaron Obra is now one of the artists of PolyEast Records.
Like many OPM artists, Aaron also started his singing career by joining amateur contests.
When PolyEast Records approached him to become one of it artists, Aaron was ecstatic.
He said, “Yung ngiti ko po hanggang dito [tenga]. Kinikilig po ako.”
In November 2021, Aaron released a song titled "Alas Kwatro," and also released another single "Sa 'Yo" this 2022.
