Mariing itinanggi ng PBA player na si Paul Desiderio ang mga alegasyon laban sa kanya ng ex-partner na si former UAAP courtside reporter Agatha Uvero.
Ito ay matapos ibunyag ni Agatha sa Twitter noong July 13, 2022 ang mga pang-aabuso umano sa kanya ni Paul noong nagsasama pa sila.

Nitong Huwebes, July 14, naglabas ng pahayag sa social media si Paul kung saan pinabulaanan niya alegasyong pisikal at emosyunal na pananakit kay Agatha.
Aniya, "Her social media allegation is unfortunate and sad, and most of all, untrue. I had hoped that we will be civil with each other after our separation, for the sake of our son.”
Ayon sa Blackwater Bossing player, hinding-hindi niya magagawang saktan ang isang babae lalo't higit ang ina ng kanyang anak.
Mayroon din daw siyang isang anak na babae mula sa kanyang naunang karelasyon.
Saad ni Paul, “I vehemently deny her allegations of abuse during our relationship. I have had relationships prior to Ms. Uvero, and I also have a daughter from a previous relationship. I have never hurt a woman, especially not the mother of my child.”
Nangako rin siyang makikipagtulungan sa pamunuan ng Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) sa gagawin nitong imbestigasyon at kumpiyansa siyang maaabsuwelto.
“I will fully cooperate with the PBA in the conduct of its investigation and I am confident that I will be absolved of the accusations hurled against me.”
Dagdag pa niya, handa siyang harapin ang anumang akusasyon laban sa kanya. Ngunit kung mapatutunayang wala siyang kasalanan ay mananagot daw ang dumungis sa kanyang pangalan.
Pahayag ni Paul: “I will also face any complaint against me in any forum, especially in relation to domestic abuse accusations.
“I also reserve the right to seek redress for these defamations against my name and person. I have worked hard for the little that I have achieved in my life, and I have always done it with dedication and honor.
“I will fight for the honor of my and my family’s name and reputation because that is all we have."
Sa huli ay humingi ng dispensa si Paul sa lahat ng nadamay sa kontrobersiyang kinasasangkutan.
Aniya, "I apologize to all those who have been affected as a result of this issue, to my family, to my friends, to my team, Blackwater, and to my daughter and son."
