Up-and-coming PolyEast Records artists Drei Rana, Selena Marie, Aaron Obra, and Arron Rebustes are all inspired by the worldwide success of K-Pop.
In fact, BlackPink is one of the South Korean artists they cited as their idols.
During their press conference held last June 2022, all of them shared their desire to visit South Korea soon.
Drei said, “For me, hopefully, I wanna go to South Korea po kasi.
So, I really want to go to South Korea, given a chance.”
"Kasi ano po talaga, I'm like a really avid fan of Korean dramas.
"Specially, kaming dalawa po [sa K-pop is], BLACKPINK.
"So, South Korea is really the place to go. Hopefully, makapag-save up po and visit.”
"Like, since 2012 pa talaga. Sing and dance po minsan.
"And, yun, I think yun din po yung reasons kung bakit gustung-gusto ko po mag-South Korea. And also yung climate po, napakalamig po, parang napakasarap po talaga.”
Although not a fan of K-pop and Korean drama, Arron Rebustes said he will still visit South Korea with his fellow PolyEast Records artists.
Drei has been with PolyEast Records since 2018, and has original songs including “The LiVeRARY.” His YouTube channel also has almost 100k subscribers.
Selena Marie, known as "Ukelele Girl," covered a well-loved decade-old song "First Love Never Dies" by adding a "youthful and contemporary sound that appeals more to the young people of today."
Aaron Obra had his name out there when Ed Sheeran dueted his TikTok video, while Arron Rebutess just dropped his debut single "Quiet Room."
