The Pinoy fans of the Japanese Manga series YuYu Hakusho, more popularly known in the Philippines as Ghost Fighter, are excited about Netflix's upcoming live-action adaptation of the series.
On the heels of the announcement is a meme featuring one of its main characters, Yusuke Urameshi, whose name in GMA-7's Tagalized version is Eugene.
For the Netflix series, Japanese actor Takumi Kitamura will play the role of Yusuke.
But an artist named Ralvin C. Dizon seemed to like another actor for the role. On Sunday, July 17, 2022, he posted an artwork morphing the face of actress Eugene Domingo into Takumi’s face! He also uploaded a photo of Eugene/Yusuke from Ghost Fighter Manga version.
Ralvin also used a popular line from the Tagalized version as his caption. He wrote in his public Facebook post (published as is), "Tapusin na naten to Eugene, ibibigay ko na ang isandaang porsyento ng aking purong enerhiya, na wala nang makakapigil kahit pa ang iyong ispiritwal na kapangyarihan, Eugene"
In the comments section, Ralvin wrote, “heto ang tunay na Live action.. Hehe”
Netizens are so amused by Ralvin’s humor, the post already has 17k laugh reactions and 20k shares at press time.
