Vice Ganda only knows too well that ABS-CBN’s noontime show, It’s Showtime, usually goes overtime.
It’s Showtime just recently became a trending topic on social media when its TV5 airing was cut short for going beyond its closing time.
As a blocktimer on TV5, It’s Showtime is only allowed to air from 12:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
But on A2Z Channel 11 and Kapamilya Channel, it is not retricted.
In Vice’s vlog uploaded on July 24, 2022, he took his viewers on a tour of the newly renovated studio of It’s Showtime.
Vice then showed an LED screen in the DJ booth, which is used as a teleprompter by the hosts on stage as it is out of cameras’ range.
Vice described the screen as “mahalagang-mahalaga” for the show before launcing into a "tirade" blasting his co-hosts.
Because Showtime is overtime, gano'n!
No-no talaga sa akin iyan, that’s very unprofessional.”
Vice then let out a naughty smile after his litany of blame, which actually was a joke because it has been usually him causing It’s Showtime to go overtime.
He added, “Wahahaha! Telege be??”
The chargen in his vlog even quipped: “Pasimuno ka nga, meme!”
It's Showtime started airing on TV5 on July 16, 2022, back to back with Brightlight Productions' noontime show, Tropang LOL, as its pre-programming.
