After almost four years since his last concert in the country, British crooner Calum Scott is making his way back to the Philippines!
The former Britain's Got Talent contestant is bringing his Bridges Asia tour to the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on October 20, 2022.
Calum's Asia tour—which includes stops in Tokyo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore—will be staged in support of his sophomore album Bridges, released last June 17, 2022.
In a statement, the 33-year-old singer expressed how excited he is to meet his fans in Asia.
He said, "It feels so incredible to announce my Asia tour! It’s been a long time coming and a lot of planning but after the last few years we’ve had, you can just tell how excited people are for live music again and I’m so happy to be a part of it.
"I am coming back with my band to play the songs that people discovered me on, as well as new songs from my second album which I would say is my best and most personal work yet – I can’t wait to see you there."
Promoted by AEG Presents Asia and Ovation Productions, concert tickets priced at PHP3,750 are now available via ticketnet.com.ph.
The concert also marks Calum's third time performing for his Filipino fans.
He first visited the country in March 2018 for a showcase held at the atrium of Shangri-la Plaza in Mandaluyong City. He returned in October 2018 for a full concert as part of his Only Human concert tour.
Calum rose to fame following his iconic rendition of Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" when he joined Britain's Got Talent in 2015.
In 2021, Calum released two songs titled "Biblical" and "Rise," In February 2022, he released "If You Ever Change Your Mind." All three songs are part of his sophomore album.
In June 2022, he released his fourth single from the album titled "Heaven." The song had four remixes that featured Asian artists, including Filipino singer Darren Espanto.
The other artists Calum collaborated with are Indonesia’s Lyodra, Malaysia’s Diana Danielle, and Vietnam’s Hoàng Duyên.
