Si Einstein ay ginawaran ng Nobel Prize for Physics noong 1921 para sa “services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.”

“Contrary to a widespread myth, Albert Einstein was good at mathematics in high school,” caption ng Nobel Prize.

“This certificate of maturity was issued to Albert Einstein at the age of 17, after attending the Cantonal High School in Aarau, Switzerland.

“In this scoring scheme, 6 is the highest, and 1 the lowest grade.

“The photo was taken the very same day he received his grades on 3 October 1896.”

German language and literature: 5

French language and literature: 3

English language and literature: —

Italian language and literature: 5

History: 6

Geography: 4

Algebra: 6

Geometry (planimetry, trigonometry, stereometry and analytical geometry): 6

Descriptive geometry: 6

Physics: 6

Chemistry: 5

Natural history: 5

In drawing: 4*

In technical drawing: 4*

MYTH ABOUT EINSTEIN EXPLAINED

Sabi sa report: "Because the 19th-century German education system was very harsh and regimented, he didn't really develop his non-mathematical skills (such as history, languages, music and geography).

“He was 16, two years younger than his fellow applicants," sabi sa report.

"He did outstandingly well in physics and mathematics, but failed the non-science subjects, doing especially badly in French - so he was not accepted.

“So in that same year, he continued his studies at the Canton school in Aargau (also called Aarau).

"He studied well, and this time, he passed the entry exams into the Federal Polytechnic School.”
