Filipino fans of the Asian collective music company 88rising are waiting agog for its flagship Head in the Clouds (HITC) music and arts festival in Manila.

The pioneer edition of the HITC in the country will take place on December 9 and 10, 2022, at the SM Festival Grounds in Parañaque City, following the festival's jaunt in Jakarta, Indonesia, on December 3 and 4, 2022.

Dubbed the "Asian Coachella," HITC has been bringing together some of the best Asian artists in the international music scene since 2018.

(Coachella is the highly anticipated annual music and arts festival in the United States that has become an institution and known worldwide since it was started in 1999.)

Here's everything you need to know about HITC Manila:

THE LINE-UP

88Rising talents headlining the Manila edition of Head In The Clouds music festival include "Sanctuary" singer Joji, GOT7 member Jackson Wang, Indonesian R&B princess NIKI, Indonesian rapper Rich Brian, and former Day6 member eaJ.

The full line-up was officially completed on Monday, November 28, 2022, with the addition of South Korean-American rapper Jessi.

This marks Jessi's second appearance in Manila following her successful first solo concert last September 30, 2022, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

SB19, Ylona Garcia, Zack Tabudlo, and Denise Julia will be representing OPM at the music festival along with Filipino-Canadian duo MANILA GREY and Filipino-American DJ Manila Killa.

Japanese pop duo YOASOBI and J-idol music group Atarashii Gakko! will play at the festival!

The Manila line-up also includes Adawa, Akini Jing, August 08, BIBI, Elephante, GUAPDAD 4000, JinxZhou, MILLI, Spence Lee, Stephanie Poetri, and Warren Hue.

DJ and producer ZEDD is also part of the festival as a special guest. His last visit in Manila was back in 2018.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Just like the U.S. version of Head In The Clouds music festival, there will also be two concert stages at the Manila venue: the 88Rising stage and the Double Happiness Stage.

Each artist gets to perform on stage for 45 to 55 minutes. The schedule of performances per stage for both days is yet to be released.

Organizers of the concert have also promised thoughtfully curated food and beverage choices available at the venue for festival-goers.

There will also be immersive and IG-worthy installations, useful as backdrops for picture-taking and selfies.

TICKET PRICES

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • 2-Day VIP Passes - PHP15,888
  • 2-Day General Admissions Passes - PHP12,888

VIP Passes come with exclusive perks including early entry, VIP restrooms, VIP entry lanes, access to the VIP viewing area, and limited premium VIP merch shirts. VIP passes, however, are already sold out.

Fans can still buy general admissions passes at SM Tickets nationwide and online via mnl.hitcfestival.com and smtickets.com.

WHERE TO STAY

Festival-goers can also book hotel rooms near the festival grounds.

The nearest hotels near SMDC Festival grounds are Conrad Manila; Solaire Resorts and Casino; City of Dreams Manila; and Okada Manila.
