37 of 38 Miss Universe Philippines 2023 candidates confidently walked the runway during the pageant’s swimsuit presentation in Boracay Island on April 13, 2023.
The event was part of a three-day, two-night stay on the island that included charity events and other fun activities, culminating in the "Under The Rising Moon Party" which was organized in partnership with AQUA Boracay.
The candidates engaged in social media challenges presented by the pageant's official sponsors, including Titan Watch, during the event.
Eight of them stood out and were hailed “Aqua Angels" and won “lucky ampaos” with cash prizes from Aqua Boracay's owner, mining magnate Antonio Co.
This year’s winners are Jannarie Zarzoso from Agusan Del Norte, Krishnah Gravidez from Baguio, Pauline Amelinckx from Bohol, Samantha Panlilio from Cavite, Michelle Dee from Makati, Angelique Manto from Pampanga, Clare Dacanay from Parañaque, and Christine Juliane Opiaza from Zambales.
In addition, five Miss Titan Universe finalists were also chosen. Among them are Baguio’s Krishnah Gravidez, Bohol’s Pauline Amelinckx, Cavite’s Samantha Panlilio, Cebu Province’s Emmanuelle Vera, and Makati’s Michelle Dee.
One candidate will be named Miss AQUA Universe during the pageant’s grand coronation which will be held on May 13, 2023, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The lucky winner of this special award will be granted a three-day, two-night stay at AQUA Boracay and round-trip tickets to the picturesque island.
Meanwhile, the winner of the Miss Titan Universe special award will win a limited-edition luxury watch from the brand.
It was unfortunate Davao Oriental's Klyza Ferrando Castro was feeling under the weather during the swimsuit presentation and missed the event.
