Pop superstar Sarah Geronimo didn't forget to greet her mom on Mother's Day.
Posting on Instagram, Sarah called her parents "superheroes ng buhay ko."
She particularly mentioned her mom, Mommy Divine, with whom Sarah had a falling-out following her secret wedding to Matteo Guidicelli on February 20, 2020, at Victory Church in The Fort, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
"Happy Mother’s day po mama," wrote Sarah.
"Walang hanggan po na pasasalamat para sa walang katumbas na pag-aaruga at pagmamahal."
REACHING OUT TO HER PARENTS
Sarah was coming off a successful anniversary concert on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Araneta Coliseum.
The sold-out concert marked Sarah's 20th year in show business.
One of the highlights that evening was Sarah paying tribute to both her parents through songs.
She performed a heartfelt version of AfterImage's classic hit, "Habang May Buhay."
Sarah recalled her father's untiring support and love for her, indulging her dreams of someday becoming a singer performing on stage.
"Gustung-gusto ko pong bumabangon ng umaga para po mag-ensayo," rekindled Sarah.
"Pinapaakyat niya po ako sa lamesita namin at dun po ako nagpe-perform, na ang feeling ko po, yun ang stage ko.
"Siya po ang nagturo sa akin na maging malakas, matatag, lalung-lalo na po sa pagharap sa laban ng buhay.
"Tatay Delfin, mahal na mahal na mahal na mahal na mahal kita. Para sa yo Tay. I love you, Daddy."
She ended the song by calling out both her parents, uttering, "Love you, Ma. Love you, Daddy."
To be fair, Sarah does not shy from publicly asking for her parents' forgiveness for what happened in the past because of her relationship with Matteo.
On October 29, 2022, Sarah surprised the public by issuing an apology letter to her parents through social media.
"Gusto ko rin kunin ang pagkakataon na ito, sa paraan din na ito na humingi ng tawad sa aking pamilya na labis na nasaktan sa aking mga naging desisyon sa buhay. Patawad po," she humbly wrote on Instagram.
"Sa aking mga magulang, walang hanggan po ang pasasalamat ko para sa buhay na ibinigay niyo sa akin, sa aming magkakapatid.
"Lahat ng suporta at pag-aaruga, ang inyong walang katumbas na pagmamahal, walang sino man ang pwedeng makapagpunan po nito."

Sarah's sweet and emotional greeting to her mom to celebrate Mother's Day was met with positive feedback from netizens.

"Nanay ako at alam ko na kahit anong mangyari na walang nanay ang kayang tiisin ang mga anak."
