Aljur Abrenica says he and estranged wife Kylie Padilla have long since moved on from their failed marriage.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) interviewed Aljur during the premiere night of his film The Revelation last June 20, 2023.
He candidly talked about being on good terms with Kylie despite their controversial separation in April 2021.
"Kung ano yung nakita niyo, normal namin iyon," the 33-year-old actor began.
One of the most talked about moments during the 1st Summer MMFF Parade of Stars last April 2 was the chance encounter between Aljur and Kylie at Villa Beatriz, Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
They were seen exchanging pleasantries and being friendly towards each other.

Explaining his set-up with Kylie, Aljur elaborated, "Madalas naman kami nagkikita, kapag sinusundo ang mga bata. Hindi niyo alam yun, e. Nag-uusap kami lagi.
"Kapag sinusundo ko yung mga bata, nag-i-stay ako sa kanila ng ilang minuto para pag-usapan yung mga bata. May ganun kaming relasyon ni Kylie.
"Kaya nung nagkita kami sa [Parade of Stars], okay lang, normal lang."
Without giving details, Aljur pointed out that he and Kylie really worked on overcoming the issues that followed after their separation.
"Yun naman ang punta talaga. Siyempre, gusto natin maging maayos para sa mga bata. Yun naman ang tinumbok namin," he said before adding, "Masaya kami ngayon."
As for his co-parenting schedule with his two sons Alas and Axl, Aljur revealed, "Every weekend talaga sa akin.
"Kapag may work ako, gumagawa ng paraan. Kaya tonight, susunduin ko yung mga bata."
He wasn't able to spend time with his kids on Father's Day due to a work commitment, he said, "kaya babawi ako."
When Aljur was about to be asked about his current girlfriend AJ Raval, he was prevented from being asked about "personal questions."

Kylie and Aljur got married at Villa Milagros, Rizal, on December 11, 2018.
A year before their wedding, the couple welcomed their firstborn Alas Joaquin in August 2017.
Their second child, Axl Romeo, was born in December 2019.
Rumors of Kylie and Aljur's breakup began circulating in February 2021, but the couple tried to keep it under wraps.
After five months, in July 2021, Robin Padilla confirmed that the two broke up because of a third-party issue on Aljur's part.
Trouble between the two ensued when contrasting reports about what really caused their split got out in the media.
In October 2021, Aljur broke his silence and claimed that it was Kylie who cheated on him first.
In a TV interview this April 2023, however, Aljur owned up to cheating on Kylie and other personal issues that contributed to the breakdown of their marriage.

ON BEING A "GOOD KISSER."
In the film The Revelation, Aljur had love scenes with his co-star Ana Jalandoni. When asked to describe Aljur, Ana admitted that she found Aljur to be a "good kisser."
What is Aljur's reaction to her description? A surprised Aljur asked back with a smile: "Sinabi niya yun? Kakausapin ko siya mamaya."
Aljur, who is cast as Lance in the movie, admitted that he felt challenged portraying multiple characters for this movie, which opened in cinemas last June 21.
"The whole story is very interesting. Yung character exciting siya gawin kasi multi-character siya at yung buong pelikula, multi-genre.
"Kailangan kong ma-distinguish yung bawat eksena kung sino yung ginagampanan ko.
"Pinakanahirapan ako sa part na... I have to enjoy doing immoral things... isang bagay na hindi maganda at kailangan makita sa akin na nag-e-enjoy ako na gawin siya."
Ana said she had difficulty doing her intimate scenes with Aljur. Did he also have difficulty shooting their love scenes?
"Hindi naman ako nahirapan," admitted Aljur.
