Basketball player Robert Bolick and his wife, Cassandra Yu, have tied the knot again.
This time, the couple held their wedding in a church, at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral in Cebu, on June 23, 2023.
Robert and Cassandra first exchanged vows in an intimate civil wedding ceremony on March 22, 2022, in Cebu.
Writing in Cebuano, Robert wrote in his post on Instagram on Saturday, June 24, 2023, “I’m so lucky. The best day of my life. I can’t ask for more. You’re really the best thing that happened to me.
"You’re always there beside me no matter what happens."
The former San Beda Red Lions standout described Cassandra as the "kindest, most beautiful, and loving person in the world.”
Both Robert and Cassandra posted on their Instagram accounts photos and videos taken during their church wedding.
ISSUES WITH EX
Robert and Cassandra's love story didn't start smoothly.
To start with, controversies surrounding Robert's past romance became tabloid fodder and a hot social media topic.
Before Cassandra, Robert was in a long-term relationship with volleyball star Aby Maraño.
Robert and Aby eventually broke up after eight years of being a couple.
Aby's fans and supporters accused Robert of infidelity after he posted for the first time a photo of him with Cassandra on Instagram in October 2021.
Netizens had a field day commenting on the post, among them Aby who wrote, “Solid naman ng vacation niyo. Hindi ko alam may bago ka na?"
Robert again flexed a solo picture of Cassandra with the caption, "Worlds change when eyes meet." He turned off the comments section this time.

When Robert and Cassandra announced their civil wedding in March 2022, Aby posted on Twitter what many, including Robert, felt was a snide remark against the newlyweds.
Robert fired back and called Abby "masyadong feeling victim."
He also accused Aby of getting an abortion when they were still together.
"Masyado ka na diyan, tsaka sobra na rin alam mo ginawa mo buntis ka tapos nagpalaglag ka tama ba yun? Sino ba naman lalaki gusto sumama sa isang babaeng ganun? Mismo pamilya mo di alam, paano pa kaya teammate mo alam ba nila?"
He added, "Kaya nga nagpapasalamat ako na dumating asawa ko ngayon.
"Wala naman talaga siya kinalaman eh, di naman ng agaw never nangyare yun.
"Decision ko talaga na makipagkita na sa iba kasi wala na tayo eh, alam mo kasalanan mo tanggapin mo."
Likewise, Robert and Cassandra's romance intrigued netizens after the couple's respective families went at it on social media to voice out their dislike of the relationship.

PLAYING IN JAPAN
Robert is currently playing for the Fukushima Firebonds in the Japanese B. League in Japan.
The league is also home to fellow Filipino basketball stars like Kiefer Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., Dwight Ramos, and Kai Sotto.

Robert reportedly signed a hefty contract to play in Japan for two years.
Prior to that, Robert played for Northport in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) where he averaged 21.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in his last season with the team.
He also suited up for Gilas Pilipinas, or the national basketball team representing the Philippines in international competitions.
Robert remains committed to Gilas Pilipinas, according to reports.
Robert became a free agent this year after his contract with Northport expired, allowing him to explore his options outside the PBA.
