Marlon Stockinger on what he realized during the pandemic: "It’s how much we all took for granted our everyday lives in that sense because things were so fast-paced. And then suddenly, I guess for the whole world, we all had to come to sort of halt and it stopped you from, maybe, being close to loved ones."

“I think in the acting space, yeah,” sagot ni Marlon sa exclusive interview ng Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph).

“I’ve always been open so I think if there’s an opportunity, maybe trying to consider, because I think you should always be open in life in that aspect.

"And I have a lot of respect because of my friends that are in the industry. I have a good friend now who’s in Batang Quiapo, Ivan Carapiet.

“You really see that in the acting world and even in sport, there’s still so much responsibility and it is a craft. It is something you have to learn.”

“I think I was in the credits of one movie as myself but other than that…I can’t remember honestly," pahayag niya.

Saad niya, “I’ve done that before as well. I used to work for Fox Sports, too. We do the broadcast for F1.

“I guess now, with streaming, broadcast are not as big anymore. But, yeah, it would be good if ever those opportunities were to arrive.

"I wouldn’t say no. I wouldn’t turn my head or my back.

“I just wanna have fun with that aspect and if it’s a fun project, then why not? I wanna experience it.”

THE PANDEMIC HALTED HIS CAR-RACING CAREER

“COVID, of course, made that difficult," sambo niya.

"As we all know, the tracks were closed, so what I actually did the meantime was I created a sports car company with my partners. It is called Radical Cars Philippines, so we are into dealership. We sell racing cars here in the country and we also run the fastest racing championship in the Philippines.

“We concluded our first year last year with our champion being Iñigo Anton, who is the son of Carlos Anton who’s also a very famous local racer driver in the country as well.

“With COVID and everything happening, given that I couldn’t be racing necessarily, plans had to change. Sponsors, of course, we needed to acquire.

“I actually look towards developing the next generation of talent because, I think, for any athlete, you’re not just an athlete, you’re not just performing your sport. I think you do a lot more things.

“And this is one way of giving back to the sport that has given me so much, given that I started here in the Philippines.

“I got locked down here but it was okay. I was close to my family.

"I could have been stuck abroad. My sister actually, she spent most of her time in London, and we didn’t get to see her for majority of those COVID years as well.

"It was kinda like happy to be home but then also missing one of my siblings."

Pahayag niya: “It’s how much we all took for granted our everyday lives in that sense because things were so fast-paced. And then suddenly, I guess for the whole world, we all had to come to sort of halt and it stopped you from, maybe, being close to loved ones.

“In my case, I wasn’t able to see my sistee. And it just goes to show you have to take every day of life and make the most out of it. Because suddenly, the next day, people you love or the place that you wanna see or things you wanna experience, you can’t do that anymore.

“And I was worrying because also, when this all started, we didn’t know where the end was even. So I’m glad, along with the rest of the world, and now the Philippines being very much open, that we were able to overcome it and we have activities like this again, which is really wonderful to me.”
