Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up and current Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup took to Instagram to express her pride and admiration for fellow beauty queen Pauline Amelinckx.

Pauline had just competed at the Miss Supranational 2023 pageant and emerged as the 1st runner-up during the coronation night held in Poland.
Despite not clinching the crown, Shamcey lauded Pauline's exceptional performance and hailed her as a true winner.
In her post today, July 15, 2023, Shamcey wrote: "It may not have been the result we have wanted but I am so proud of how @paulineamelinckx gave us a good fight!
"I really thought we had it in the bag but no matter what, you are the winner in our hearts [heart emoji] Thank you for representing the [Philippine flag emoji]."
Such encouragement and support from one beauty queen to another demonstrates the camaraderie and sisterhood that exists within the pageant community.

MISS SUPRANATIONAL 2023 Q&A PORTION
After the Top 5 finalists were announced, it was down to the question and answer portion to determine the ultimate winner.
They were all asked: What makes for a good brand ambassador for this organization?
Although Miss Supranational Ecuador 2023 Andrea Aguilera conveyed the winning answer, advocating for single moms across the globe to find employment, Pauline's answer resonated better with pageant fans.

The Bohol native's speech went, "It would be dedication. Dedication to this journey, dedication to the people who have brought her up to this journey, and dedication of course with the organization that she'll end up working with.
"This is such a beautiful experience. And she has to be someone who will bring people together. Someone who knows that this is not a one-woman journey.
"We all have our differences, but we also realize that we have so much in common. And we are now gathered here on this stage transcending our own borders, bringing nations together."
