Balik-taping na ang Love. Die. Repeat.
Matatandaang nahinto ang taping ng naturang GMA drama series noong September 21 dahil sa pagdadalang-tao ng lead actress nito na si Jennylyn Mercado.
At nitong Abril 2023 ay napabalitang nag-resume na ang taping ng show na pagbibidahan nina Jennylyn at Xian Lim.
At noong July 3, sa pamamagitan ng Viber messaging ay nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang isa sa mga supporting cast members ng show na si Shyr Valdez.
Kinumpirma ni Shyr sa amin na nagte-taping na nga silang muli.
Ano ang pakiramdam niya na nag-resume na sila ng Love. Die. Repeat.?
Aniya, "Siyempre masaya! Tuloy ang naputol na bonding ng cast sa set. Masaya kasi ang set namin, e.”
May punto ba na inaakala niyang hindi na itutuloy ang show, lalo pa nga at dalawang bagay ang kinaharap nilang lahat noon: ang Covid-19 pandemic at ang pregnancy ni Jennylyn?
“It was never an issue na hindi na kami matutuloy.
“We’ve always known na matutuloy siya matapos lang si Jen manganak. The production kept all actors in the loop for updates about LDR.
“It was really just a matter of time. At eto na yung time, we are now rolling again.”
Sa unang taping nila noong 2021 bago sila nahinto, alam na ba nilang cast and production na preggy si Jen?
“Actually, no. Kahit si Jen, hindi pa niya alam na buntis siya.
“Until nag-iba at hindi na niya ma-explain ang pakiramdam niya. So nung ma-confirm, we were all advised na.
“Siyempre masaya kami for her,” pagpapatuloy pa ni Shyr. “Ako I was ecstatic for Jen kasi talagang gusto niya ng anak pa.”
Pinagkuwento naman namin si Shyr kung ano ang role niya sa Love. Die. Repeat. and without any spoilers, kung tungkol saan ang show.
“I play Hilda the mother of Bernard [Xian’s character].
“Basta ito lang sasabihin ko, Love. Die. Repeat is something new on primetime. It will keep you in the loop while watching.”
Gaano kalapit o kalayo ang karakter niya bilang si Hilda sa show sa tunay na Shyr Valdez?
“May character si Hilda dito na hindi ako as Shyr, but I cannot say just yet. Pero the way she loves and cares for her child, ako na ako.
“I will not tolerate what is bad, but I will have my child’s back through and through.”
Masaya si Shyr na bilang artista ay nakatrabaho na niya halos lahat ng reyna ng GMA tulad nina Marian Rivera, Sanya Lopez at ngayon ay si Jennylyn.
Paano niya ipagkukumpara o ipagkakaiba ang tatlong aktres?
Pagpapasalamat niya,” I am of course happy to have worked with the three incredible superstars of GMA. Each one has her distinct originality as an actor.
“They are where they are because they are darn good at what they do. I cannot compare. As I have said earlier, they have their distinct originality as actors that works really well with them.
“But you know the one thing I can say about all three… Jen, Sanya, and Marian… nakatuntong sa lupa ang mga paa kahit sobra nang kinang ng mga bituin nila!
“The mark of a real star is in their humility and they have all that. Humble pa din kahit matatayog at matataas na ang narating.”
Bukod sa pag-aartista ay nasa corporate world na rin si Shyr. Kumusta ang buhay niya bilang businesswoman/corporate executive?
Pag-amin niya, “Being in the corporate world gives a different dynamic.
“You have to be inclusive, a team player. I love it!
“The discipline is different when you are in the corporate world.
“I am the PR Consultant of Medicare Plus. We are a health care provider, an easy access health plan options for the Filipino community."
