But PEP had to give way to a daily broadsheet na siyang dapat mag-break ng story.
Noong 2000, she made her first play sa Little Mermaid na Trumpets of Stages din ang gumawa. Recently, she also starred in Atlantis' Seussical.
Sa September this year naka-schedule ang staging ng West Side Story sa Meralco Theater. Dahil hindi pa naman daw sila nagsisimula for rehearsal—which she believes would require a lot of dancing—Karylle is familiarizing herself first with the role of Maria through her collector's item DVD of the movie starring Natalie Wood.
Ang magiging leading man nina Karylle at Joanna ay si Christian Bautista who will play the lead role, Tony.
Bukod sa West Side Story, kakatapos lang din gawin ni Karylle ang pelikulang Litsonero opposite Paolo Contis for the DGPI (Director's Guild of the Philippines) Festival. Kuwento ni Karylle, natapos na sila ng filming at nag-location shoot pa raw sila sa Macau, which sounds grand for an independently produced film.
Kinumusta rin ng PEP kay Karylle si Dingdong Dantes. Halatang matipid ang young singer-actress when asked about her boyfriend. Basta para raw sa kanya, she is happy with whatever is happening to Dingdong's career and his new fantaserye Dyesebel.
"Oo naman, I'm very happy sa success ng show. Mas happy ako and proud nang ma-nominate pa siya sa Star Awards as Best Movie Director [for an episode of the movie Angels]," natatawang pahayag ni Karylle.
